The Universe did not come into being on its own.

In the beginning, all that was was the nine-headed Chaos Serpent, Ochiphion. This monstrous beast's smallest teeth stand higher than the tallest mountain, and it knows naught but to move freely. In boredom with the emptiness of existence, it cast off its skin, creating the stars, the planets, and the Gods.

The Gods, new to their roles, quickly decided that if they were to accomplish anything, the monstrous Serpent must not be nearby. Aperas, Goddess of the Sun, convinced the Serpent that it could sate its boredom by traveling across the cosmos it created. As the Serpent hurtled away, the Gods quickly found an place stable enough for them to begin creating. This was Earth.

Each of the varied Gods and Goddesses created a form of life to populate the barren Earth, from fish to birds to bears to trees. However, four noticeably did not contribute.

The first was Hetaya. She was rather disappointed in her brothers and sisters, creating dumb beasts that could never show gratitude for their creation. She created six races of Fae:
First, the Maeven, beings with the essence of light at their command, with white wings like the butterfly and light hair to contrast their skin, which was dark as the Earth.
Second, the Sprites, masters of the ever-mysterious dark, with alabaster skin and hair darker than the night sky, and wide wings with patterns like the faces of the mightiest of predators.
Third, the Sylvan, with the fickle wind at their beck and call, with skin pale as the Sprites and hair pale as the Maeven, with gossamer wings that rode the wind currents with grace and ease to bring even the birds to envy.
Fourth, the Puca, with the very earth under their feet under their control, with skin dark as the Maeven, and hair dark as the Sprites. Unlike the other Fae, Hetaya saw no reason for the Puca to fly.
Fifth, the Ifrit, who danced with the ever-dangerous element of fire, notably displaying the dark skin and light hair characteristic of the Maeven, but sporting the gossamer wings of the Sylvan.
Sixth and finally, the Undine, who manipulated the water to their whims, with an eerie resemblance to the Sprites, except where the wings were concerned- those were patterned after the dragonfly.

Garephon, due to his monstrous ego, wished to create a race grander than any on Earth, which would worship him and only him. His first attempt at doing so resulted in the Ungoro, who resembled the Fae, but were only half their stature, and incapable of wielding magic. In addition, their minds were simple and childlike, making them incapable of worshiping much of anything. Lastly, and the biggest insult to Garephon's pride, they were inherently peaceful, and would never attack anything, preferring to heal passing animals and Fae, and content to grow their gardens in peace.
Outraged, he created something specifically to spite his previous creation, the overly aggressive Gremlins. These creatures almost resembled a Queen Fae in stature, but were covered in ugly scales and ridges, and their ears resembled the fins of deepsea fish more than anything else. These creatures, even when the Ungoro would heal them of their injuries out of kindness, were incapable of gratitude, and would find the most painful ways to humiliate and murder the creatures. An unexpected consequence, however, was the eradication of both the flightless Puca and he flame-wielding Ifrit, as the Gremlins quickly caught up to and ate the former, and the latter were ironically destroyed by friendly fire.

Before Garephon's Gremlins could do any more harm, Aperas and her brother Misyu intervened, creating a race capable of using all six elements of magic, designed to appear as the Puca did, but at twelve times the size of any ordinary Fae. These were Humans, who were given a single task: keep the Fae safe. The strength, ingenuity, and magic ability of these Humans quickly overwhelmed and drove out the Gremlins.

Infuriated, Garephon set out to create a creature so far beyond Humans that they would be driven to extinction as the Ifrit and Puca had. Twice he made larger, smarter Gremlins, referred to as Goblins and Hobgoblins, but part of what had made Gremlins so aggressive was their tiny stature. He created the monstrous Trolls, but those were simply too stupid to be much of an issue to the intelligent Humans. He tried, with increasing success, to create a creature inherently superior to them.
His second-to-last attempt, the Azoni, were nearly a success. At nearly twice the size and sixty times the strength of the average human, plus a lifespan of 600 years, the Azoni were definitely strong enough to eradicate Humans. It was not an issue of intelligence, either- nothing short of a God could compete with an Azoni in any intellectual pursuit. They possessed supernatural beauty, to the point where any intelligent being with eyes would immediately fall in love with one at first sight. Garephon nearly stopped his efforts- until he realized that the Azoni were so intelligent that they were more keen to devote their lives to study than warfare. They rarely demonstrated their incredible strength, and lived their lives in small, secluded groups that occasionally traded information. And, on certain cloudy nights, when they had not even the stars to study, the Azoni would have loud parties, which inevitably ended with pairing off due to admiration of one another's beauty. Garephon deemed these a failure and moved on.
His final attempt was, indeed, successful. The Uvuor were not as large as the Azoni, nor as strong, but still outperformed any Human. They sat not only at the top of the food chain, but at a rather unique position among sentient beings- put bluntly, Garephon made them capable of mating with any sentient being for the sole purpose of demonstrating their superiority by raping said sentient being. Everything in the animal kingdom bowed down to the voracious appetites and aggressive, self-serving natures of the Uvuor- and with good reason. Nothing but a God could outlive an Uvuor, and they were capable of waiting over a thousand years for a plan to come to fruition. While they were not an immediate solution to the gaping hole in Garephon's pride, he rested comfortably knowing that they'd get to the task he'd assigned. Little did he know that the Uvuor had one fatal flaw- their immense power had come with immense ego.
Things just got serious.

Remember how I said I started to learn coding?
It's relevant.

I'm doing work on a videogame. Baseline stuff for now, and 3D models are an absolute pain so far, but you read that right. The Dragon Lord is turning THIS into a game. Due to my . . . paranoid nature, most details are being kept well under wraps. However, suffice it to say that I will spare no effort into making this the absolute best I can. I'm personally writing every piece of music, coding every statistic, writing the entire plot . . . this will either be my grandest success or my greatest failure, but it's going to be SPECTACULAR either way.

Also, I will be explaining the histories of three relevant nations prior to the game's beginning- Hodan, Moctiva, and Esperell. You decide which one I do first!
